LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police are seeking a man who robbed a Las Vegas cab driver on May 8.

Las Vegas police said the man with short dark hair and facial hair wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and camouflage pants held something sharp to the cab driver’s rib cage and demanded cash and the driver’s cellphone.

A photo of the man inside the cab show him wearing the sweatshirt which appears to have “California” printed on it in block letters.

The agency says the man originally asked to go to an apartment near Las Vegas Boulevard and Warm Springs before telling him to drive to Giles and Warm Springs instead.

Police say the man took the cash and cellphone and ran away.

Anyone with information is urged to call Las Vegas Police.
