CARROLLTON, Ga. (AP) - Police are investigating the killing of a pregnant woman in Carroll County, west of Atlanta.

Carrollton police Capt. Chris Dobbs said investigators found evidence of gunshots fired from outside her bedroom into the bedroom. WSB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1H9Edbj) that crime scene investigators found large bullet holes that pierced in the back bedroom windows.

Police say they believe the shooting happened either late Saturday night or earlier Sunday morning.

Police haven’t released the woman’s name. An autopsy was planned on her body.

Carrollton is about 45 miles west of Atlanta.
