ROCHESTER, Pa. (AP) - A western Pennsylvania rape suspect who was stabbed by another woman after police say he broke into her home to hide has been arrested in Florida.

Police in Rochester, about 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, say 35-year-old Richard Jackson II was apprehended Monday night in Broward County, Florida. He’s jailed there pending extradition back to Beaver County.

Police say Jackson raped a woman four times in Rochester on June 30, then ran from police, and broke into at least two different homes to hide. Police say a woman who found him crouching in the bathroom of her home stabbed Jackson, causing him to run away.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Jackson, who is charged with rape, burglary, criminal trespass and other charges.
