FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) - A home in the Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes has dedicated a room to slain Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Cory Wride.

The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/1J1O58e ) that a Farmington home included in the real estate event displayed police lights and a shirt uniform with Wride’s name on it. There are also pictures and other law enforcement items.

Wride was killed in January 2014 when he stopped to check on a vehicle that had its emergency lights on. The driver, Jose Angel Garcia-Juaregui, fatally shot Wride while the officer was in his car. In a crime spree that ensued, Garcia-Juaregui was killed by police in a shootout.

His teenage girlfriend, Meagan Grunwald, was recently found guilty of murder for her role driving the car during the events.
