CUBA, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say they’ve apprehended a suspect in the June slayings of two men in the western Alabama town of Cuba.

The Tuscaloosa News reports (https://bit.ly/1UwdLTp) that members of a U.S. Marshals Service task force captured 27-year-old Michael Anthony Watson in Miami, Florida.

In Alabama, Sumter County Sheriff Tyrone Clark said the killings were likely drug related. The Alabama newspaper reports that 29-year-old Demarcus Ruffin; and 31-year-old Matthew Kirksey, who were roommates, were found dead at their mobile home on June 2.

Clark said investigators used surveillance video to identify Watson as the suspect. It wasn’t known Tuesday whether Watson has a lawyer who could be reached for comment.
