PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Police are investigating an early-morning shooting in Providence that left two men injured.

The shooting occurred at about 1 a.m. Wednesday on Donelson Street after witnesses say they had been at the Midnight Basketball league at Davis Park. It is unclear if the victims also attended the games.

Witnesses told police that two hooded men in a blue 4-door Honda Accord drove up to the victims and began firing. Police say the men, one 46 years old and the other 38 years old, were rushed to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

A firearm was found by officers in the passenger side of a vehicle parked nearby.

The incident comes just days after a man was shot to death in the area of Smith and Canal streets.
