LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department says upcoming bridge work will require a lane closure on Interstate 40 in Conway.

Officials say the westbound outside lane of Interstate 40 will be closed starting Wednesday night through Thursday morning, weather permitting.

Construction crews will place a barrier wall to control traffic during the construction of a new overpass. The work is being performed just east of Exit 127 in Conway.

The project is a partnership between the city of Conway and the state highway department. Conway is funding 100% of the cost and administering the project with highway department oversight.

Officials urge drivers to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
