COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah (AP) - Kids can’t use slides at a city park in Salt Lake County due to concerns that they’re too hot.

KSL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1KP6J9m) Cottonwood Heights spokesman Dan Metcalf, Jr. says the city was worried slides at Mountview Park were becoming too hot under direct sunlight, posing health and safety concerns.

The park is open, but slides are closed until the city can find a solution to the heated playground.
