FARGO, N.D. (AP) - No one was hurt in a fire at a Fargo hotel that is being remodeled.

Guests in the Biltmore Hotel and Suites were evacuated for a short time after firefighters responded to the scene shortly after 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. The guests were allowed back in their rooms after hotel staff verified that no one was staying in the east wing near the fire.

Fire crews extinguished a blaze in a space between an existing exterior wall and a new wall being constructed as part of the remodeling. The cause of the fire was not immediately determined.

A damage estimate was not immediately available, but officials say the fire was contained to a small area and shouldn’t affect the function of the hotel.
