COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio Supreme Court has disciplined an attorney for having sexual relations with four clients including an 18-year-old woman who hired him to defend her in a drunken driving case.

The court ruled 4-3 to suspend the license of Lakewood lawyer Jalal Sleibi (jah-lahl SLEYE’-bee) for two years, but reduced that by six months as long as he completes ethical boundary training and continues a mental-health treatment plan.

The court’s ruling Tuesday said the cases involved the 18-year-old woman in 2008 and three clients in 2010 he represented in separate bankruptcy cases.

Sliebi presented evidence that his behavior was due to chronic depression and anxiety. A court disciplinary panel also found that he expressed remorse, had no prior discipline and was cooperative.
