PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) - Deputies arrested a man accused of sending threatening emails to numerous people.

The News Herald of Panama City (https://bit.ly/1JTIhAH ) reports 57-year-old Anthony Brian Whittington was arrested without incident Tuesday at a local restaurant.

Bay County Sheriff’s investigators say the emails contained a message that the recipients were “scheduled to die” that day. The messages also included photos of a knife on top of the suspect’s driver’s license and of the suspect himself.

One email was sent to the Bay County Courthouse.

Officials say Whittington is a transient. It is not known whether he has an attorney.
