RENO, Nev. (AP) - A 31-year-old Reno man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of a woman at a north-side residence over the weekend.

Cory Oneal Brewer was being held without bail in the Washoe County jail Wednesday on charges of open murder and felon in possession of a firearm.

Reno police described the victim as Brewer’s domestic partner, 30-year-old Kirsten Krasovec.

No details have been released, but detectives say they found her death suspicious after officers responded to a call just before 7 p.m. Sunday on Gardella Avenue less than a mile south of the county jail.

Police say Brewer was arrested Tuesday, a day after an autopsy determined Krasovec’s death was a homicide.

His initial court appearance has not been set and it was immediately clear if he has a lawyer.
