MILWAUKEE (AP) - Another young boy is the victim of gun violence in Milwaukee.

Police say a 13-year-old boy was fatally shot about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, just hours after a vigil was held for another young victim of gunfire.

Authorities say the 13-year-old was shot in his home near Lincoln Park and that officers are looking for a known suspect. The shooting comes after more than 100 people gathered at a Tuesday night vigil for a 14-year-old boy who police say was fatally shot in a dispute that started with an online fight over a girl.

Police say Tariq Akbar was shot shortly after the holiday fireworks ended on Milwaukee’s lakefront Friday night.

More than 80 people are homicide victims in Milwaukee this year, nearly twice the number of people in all of last year.
