YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - Police in Yakima, Washington, say about 20 homes were evacuated Tuesday night after police received a report of a suspicious device in the street.

Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says a specialized Explosive Ordnance Disposal team based at the Army’s Yakima Training Center was called in. The team was able to safely diffuse the device, which was found to contain a highly flammable substance.

He says there are no suspects or motive at this time.

Yakima police are investigating with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
