NEW YORK (AP) - Two people have been fatally struck by a Long Island Rail Road train in Hollis, Queens.

The railroad said riders on the Port Jefferson, Ronkonkoma, Oyster Bay and Hempstead branches should expect delays and cancellations during the Thursday morning rush-hour.

According to Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1HkioG3 ), the train from Ronkonkoma struck the people as it pulled into the station.

More than 100 riders were transferred to another train that left Hollis around 4 a.m.

Police are investigating.
