STAFFORD, Va. (AP) - Authorities have found the bodies of two boaters near Stafford.

Media outlets report the bodies were found Thursday on the Potomac River. Maryland Natural Resources Police spokeswoman Candy Thomson says the boaters’ identities weren’t immediately determined.

The Coast Guard says staff at a yacht club reported 58-year-old Charles Zintner and 55-year-old Melissa Smarr as overdue late Wednesday night.

The Coast Guard said Thursday in a news release that the couple was last seen aboard a 19-foot boat. A Maryland State Police helicopter crew found the boat anchored in the river about a mile from the yacht club.
