BOSTON (AP) - A Boston bike-sharing company is urging riders who may want to participate in a naked bike ride this weekend to keep in mind the next person who will be using that same bike.

The Boston Globe (https://bit.ly/1SaMD8k ) says Hubway released a light-hearted statement urging anyone planning to use one of their bikes during World Naked Bike Ride-Boston this weekend to keep something on.

The company’s statement read in part: “For the love of all that is decent, please consider the other riders.”

Hubway has no affiliation with the event.

A company spokesman said while it has no explicit ban on riding naked, clothing is strongly recommended for safety and sanitary reasons.

Organizers of the ride said they agreed, noting that many participants do wear some clothing.
