ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Authorities say the 39-year-old man who barricaded himself inside a home in the northwest Alaska village of Selawik and is accused of the shooting death of a 23-year-old man also fired at a village police officer and several others during the standoff.

KTUU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1UDykxf ) that a criminal complaint of first-degree murder charges was filed Tuesday against Christopher Cleveland, of Selawik.

According to charging documents, Cleveland said he remembers firing at people but does not remember shooting Wade Cleveland, whose body was found on a village boardwalk.

Christopher Cleveland’s arrest came after he barricaded himself inside a home for hours Monday before he surrendered.
