CHILI, N.Y. (AP) - The family of a suburban Rochester man missing for eight years hopes that new investigative resources will help track down their son.

Barbara Sullivan pleaded for anyone with information on her son’s 2007 disappearance to come forward during a news conference Wednesday.

Her son, Brian Sullivan, vanished when he was 19 years old. He was last seen at a Burger King and his car was found a short distance away.

The family is aiming to raise $4,000 to fund an independent search and rescue dog to look for Brian Sullivan.

They’re also putting up a billboard in Rochester next week featuring photos of Brian Sullivan and another missing person.

Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies continue to follow leads and investigators say they recently searched the area he was last seen.
