BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) - A former speaker of the Nebraska Legislature says he’s buying three more radio stations that serve southeast Nebraska.

Michael Flood owns Flood Communications, which is buying the stations from Siebert Broadcasting for $7 million. The three are AM stations KWBE and KGMT and FM station KUTT. They serve Gage and Jefferson counties.

The deal is expected to close in October. Flood and his subsidiary companies also own radio stations KUSO and KNEN in Norfolk; KNCY in Nebraska City; KBIE in Auburn; and KBBX, which broadcasts in Spanish to the Lincoln and Omaha areas.

Flood served in the Nebraska Legislature from 2005 to 2013 and as speaker from 2007 until 2013.
