DOVER, N.H. (AP) - A former state representative and city councilor from Dover has been sentenced to a year in jail for pointing a gun at his former fiancee’s head in 2012 and threatening to kill her and himself.

Foster’s Daily Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/1CqWPYM) 24-year-old Michael Weeden was sentenced in Strafford County Superior Court on Wednesday, with 180 days suspended on good behavior.

Weeden was convicted in February of criminal threatening.
