CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A pro-gun rally planned in protest of Gov. Maggie Hassan’s veto of a bill that would make it easier to carry hidden guns has been postponed.

Members of the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance initially proposed a Saturday rally on the Statehouse lawn. A Facebook page advertising the event encouraged people to carry their guns openly and concealed.

Anyone who can buy a gun in New Hampshire can carry it openly, but to carry concealed requires a license from local officials. The bill Hassan vetoed would’ve removed the licensing requirement.

State Rep. JR Hoell, a co-sponsor of the bill, says there wasn’t enough time to secure a permit to use the Statehouse lawn in time for a rally this weekend. He says there will be a rally at a later date.
