SALINA, Kan. (AP) - A preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for four men accused of killing a Salina teenager.

Macio Palacio Jr., 18-year-old Stephen Gentry, 19-year-old Daniel Sims, and 19-year-old Jerome Forbes are charged with first-degree murder in the May 6 shooting death of Allie Saum. A juvenile charged in the case has an August hearing to determine if he’ll be prosecuted as an adult.

A hearing for the men had been set for Thursday but was rescheduled for Sept. 10. The Salina Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1CsxIVF) defense lawyers sought the continuance so they could review additional information in the case.

Police say Saum’s murder was a case of mistaken identity. She was shot and killed when she was a passenger in a pickup truck that was mistaken for someone else’s truck.
