TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - Tupelo police have arrested 29-year-old on charges of being under the influence when he struck and killed a pedestrian in April.

Multiple media reports are that James Anthony Holder is being held on $175,000 bond in the Lee County jail on charges of DUI death and DUI maiming. It was unknown if he has an attorney.

Police say 27-year-old Gary Gilmore was killed as he crossed a street on April 10.

Police say Holder’s Jeep also crashed into another vehicle, seriously injuring the driver.

Holder also suffered serious injuries and was in a medically induced coma for several weeks.
