NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Newark Police have charged a man with stealing tools from a house renovation site.

Officers say last month, employees of a construction company renovating a house on South College Avenue reported tools had been stolen. The employees told investigators they had seen a former worker, who had been fired and was barred from the site, loitering in the area.

Police obtained a search warrant for the former employee’s home, and officer say they found the stolen tools in the former worker’s truck.

Thirty-six-year-old Jonathan Coleman Jr. of New Castle was arrested Wednesday and charged with burglary and theft.
