FARMINGTON, Pa. (AP) - A luxury resort in southwestern Pennsylvania has announced a $6 million nine-hole expansion to its golf course.

The addition at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in the Laurel Highlands is to open for play in the summer of 2017.

Pete Dye, who designed the original Mystic Rock course, has also designed and will oversee the expansion.

Nemacolin Resorts opened in 1995, was renovated in 2004 and hosted the 84 Lumber Classic PGA tour event from 2003 to 2006.
