PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Police in Wilsonville, Oregon, have made an arrest following a 15-month investigation into a graffiti tagger.

A Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said Thursday that 19-year-old Tyler Segale was booked into the county jail on multiple counts of criminal mischief. Records show he’s also charged with possession and distribution of methamphetamine, and bail was set at $250,000.

The investigation began in April 2014 when police in the city 20 miles south of Portland got a report that someone spray-painted the word “SMERK” on a wall.

The prolific tagger spray-painted the word another 20 times in Wilsonville during the next 15 months.
