BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Several North Dakota museums are offering free admission this summer to active duty military personnel and their families.

The Blue Star Museum program is available from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Nationwide, more than 2,000 museums are participating in the program sponsored by the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families and the Department of Defense.

In North Dakota, participating museums are the Mercer County Museum in Beulah, Gateway to Science in Bismarck, the Plains Art Museum in Fargo, the National Buffalo Museum in Jamestown, Prairie Village Museum in Rugby and Fort Buford State Historic Site near Williston.
