GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say two firefighters have been injured while responding to a fire in suburban Detroit.

Crews from several departments responded late Sunday to a fire at Sunrise Sunset Saloon in Grosse Pointe Park.

Chief David Hiller, the city’s public safety director, says crews went inside the building in an attempt to extinguish the fire and a ceiling collapsed. He says one of the firefighters had a possible broken ankle and one was suffering from smoke inhalation.

The fire also burned a second business, but crews kept it from spreading to nearby homes. Area roadways were shut down as crews fought the fire Monday morning.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
