BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) - Two expansion projects totaling nearly $6 million are underway at Beckley Appalachian Regional Healthcare.

The hospital is building a $3 million medical mall and a $2.7 million cardiac catheterization laboratory. The 27,000-square-foot medical mall is expected to be completed in February 2016, while the laboratory is expected to be completed in December.

The Register-Herald (https://bit.ly/1SOweJY ) reports that the medical mall will include ear, nose and throat, dermatology and women’s health specialists; and cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation services. It will be located at the Cranberry Creek Plaza.

The catheterization lab will be located on the hospital’s main campus.

The 173-bed hospital is part of the non-for-profit Appalachian Regional Healthcare system.
