WARSAW, Ind. (AP) - The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department says a coroner has ruled the deaths of two 17-year-old boys as accidental drowning.

Kaleb Lampkin and Korbin Foster were recovered from the pond Saturday afternoon in Warsaw. Sgt. Chad Hill says the teens were found near one another, about 10 to 15 feet off the shoreline.

Authorities were alerted early Saturday morning when an adult discovered the boys were missing after a sleepover celebrating Lampkin’s recent birthday. The sheriff’s department says another teen who attended the party was taken to the hospital for a “potential drug inducement” when first responders arrived at the scene.

The sheriff’s department says autopsies on both Lampkin and Foster were conducted Sunday by the county coroner. Toxicology results haven’t yet been made available.

An investigation is ongoing.
