NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a domestic dispute turned deadly in New Jersey’s largest city.

Essex County prosecutors say 28-year-old Alisha Barr was charged with aggravated manslaughter in the stabbing death of her 26-year-old boyfriend, Christopher Greene. She was being held Monday on $500,000 bail, and it wasn’t known if she has retained an attorney.

Prosecutors say Greene had an apparent knife wound when he arrived at a hospital early Sunday. He was pronounced dead there a short time.

Investigators soon learned that Greene and Barr had been involved in an “altercation” at their Newark home. But authorities have not provided further details on the stabbing or said what the couple argued about.
