HENDERSON, Ky. (AP) - A western Kentucky plant is adding more jobs to its operation making van bodies and trailers.

Gov. Steve Beshear’s office says Hercules Manufacturing Co. will hire 14 new employees at its 65,000-square-foot facility in Henderson. The hiring is expected to occur over the next five years.

Hercules started in Evansville, Indiana, in 1902 and relocated to Henderson in 1957. The company makes insulated and dry freight van bodies and trailers for customers throughout the eastern and central U.S. The products serve industries such as ice cream, meat, food service, ice, pipe relining, appliances, commercial dishwashing and laundry services and document destruction.

Kentucky has approved tax incentives for Hercules of up to $180,000.
