PITTSBURGH (AP) - A western Pennsylvania judge has declined to reduce bail for a man accused of shooting an 11-year-old boy in the chest with a BB gun on a playground.

Thirty-one-year-old Albert Clark of McKeesport is charged in Allegheny County with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Prosecutors allege that he approached the boy May 24 outside the former George Washington Elementary School and fired twice. Officials said the boy was hospitalized in critical condition.

Authorities allege that Clark later told investigators that the boy had previously shot his own 5-yearold son with the same kind of weapon.

KDKA-TV (https://cbsloc.al/1FYXobF ) reports that defense attorney Phil DiLucente argued Monday that bail should be reduced because the shooting was accidental. The judge disagreed and kept bond at $250,000.
