BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (AP) - An autopsy has been ordered for a Lincoln County jail inmate who died Saturday after being found unresponsive in his jail cell.

Sheriff Steve Rushing tells The Daily Leader (https://bit.ly/1LWOo6X ) 32-year-old Jimmy Lyons appeared fine when he was served breakfast at 7:30 a.m. At 9:30 a.m. Lyons was found unresponsive in his cell and was pronounced dead about 10:15 a.m. at a local hospital.

Deputy Coroner Robert Tyler says there were no obvious signs of trauma on Lyons’ body.

Lyons has been in custody since March 13 charged with the murder of 9yearold Jamiyah Sims and her father Jeramine Sims Sr. He was also charged with aggravated assault for allegedly shooting two other children and their mother.

Authorities say Lyons was living with the family in Brookhaven where the shooting occurred.
