KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police say a man has been taken into custody after a bomb threat was made at the federal courthouse in Knoxville.

A dispatcher told the Knoxville News Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1Je8X1e) that a man carrying a briefcase went into the Howard H. Baker Jr. Federal Courthouse about 8 a.m. Monday with a black metal case and said he had a bomb inside.

The Knoxville Police Department said it evacuated the building and briefly closed Main Street to investigate the bomb threat. Police say a male suspect was taken into custody around 9 a.m. His name wasn’t immediately released.
