BOSTON (AP) - The price of a gallon of gas in Massachusetts remains unchanged, and is still well below the national average.

AAA Northeast reported Monday that self-serve, regular is unchanged from last week at an average of $2.66 per gallon, 9 cents per gallon lower than the national average.

Bay State prices are still 6 cents higher than a month ago but 98 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $2.51 per gallon and as high as $2.85.
