PLANT CITY, Fla. (AP) - Deputies say a 5-year-old boy who went missing from a farmers market in Plant City has been found dead in a nearby pond.

Divers recovered the body of Michael Bolden around 3 p.m. Sunday. The boy, who is autistic, was reported missing by his father around 10 a.m. from the Plant City Farm and Flea Market.

The boy’s father told deputies he searched for the boy for nearly an hour before calling the sheriff’s office. Officials say deputies were working with the boy’s father to continue gathering information.

Deputies have been in contact with the child’s mother, who reported Bolden could only communicate in baby talk.

It is unclear any charges will be filed.
