DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Two children reported missing when they didn’t arrive at their destination have been found at a Des Moines hotel and the woman with them has been arrested.

The Des Moines Register reports (https://dmreg.co/1QjNVgr ) that 2-year-old Rhea Day and 4-year-old Reed Day were found at the Hotel Fort Des Moines around 5:30 a.m. Monday They’d been the subjects of an Amber Alert issued about an hour earlier.

Authorities say the children were picked up at their home in Jefferson about 2:30 p.m. Sunday and taken to Des Moines for the day by 21-year-old Allison Tucker. The children’s mother reported them missing around 8:30 p.m. Sunday because they hadn’t arrived at their specific destination.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says Tucker was arrested but didn’t say what charge she faces.
