LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska authorities say a driver who fled from a fatal collision has been arrested in Lincoln.

The Nebraska State Patrol said Monday that the accident occurred a little before 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 80, near the Greenwood exit in eastern Nebraska’s Cass County. Witnesses say a westbound sedan ran into the median and then back onto the pavement, where it struck a westbound sport utility vehicle. The patrol says the SUV was knocked into the north roadside ditch, where it rolled. The patrol says 50-year-old Kristine Olson, of Grand Island, was killed.

The patrol says a trooper pulled over the sedan in Lincoln and arrested 29-year-old Mandy MacDonald, of Grand Island. Court records don’t list the name of an attorney who could be contacted to comment on MacDonald’s behalf.
