FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - The FBI is investigating a jewelry store robbery that left some shoppers at Fort Lauderdale’s Galleria Mall scurrying for safety after they mistook the sounds of breaking glass for gunshots.

The incident unfolded around 3 p.m. Sunday and the five suspects fed with an undisclosed amount of watches and jewelry before leading police on a chase to Miami-Dade County.

Authorities arrested 37-year-old Malcolm Anwar Williams and 34-year-old Zavier McGee. Both face federal charges and are expected to have their first appearances in court on Monday. It’s not known whether they’ve hired attorneys.

Investigators say at least three other suspects are at large.
