ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The wreckage of a missing Yute Air plane has been found in the Kwethluk River.

KTUU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1M4M1j8 ) that the Alaska National Guard says the plane was found about 40 miles southeast of Bethel. They did not mention the condition of the pilot, who was the only person aboard the plane at the time it went missing.

The wreckage was spotted by another Yute Air pilot who was flying a company aircraft during the search. Civil Air Patrol flew over the area and confirmed it was the aircraft wreckage.

Alaska State Troopers, military aircraft and others had been searching for the missing pilot since about noon Saturday. He was last seen leaving Bethel Saturday morning in the Cessna 207.

Yute Air serves more than 20 villages in the Bethel area.
