DENVER (AP) - The Colorado State Patrol says a body was found in a car that crashed into Clear Creek west of Golden.

The station wagon was spotted near the intersection of Colorado 119 and U.S. Highway 6 at about 3:45 p.m. Friday. The victim’s name and age have not been released.

It appears that he was the only one in the vehicle.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/utuyQQ ) U.S. 6 was closed for several hours after the car was spotted.

No other information was released.
