BEAR, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police says it is investigating the robbery of a dollar store in Bear.

The State Police says the robbery happened Thursday at about 10:30 a.m. at the Dollar General store located at 1605 Red Lion Road. State Police say a man armed with a gun confronted a 24-year-old clerk working at the store and demanded money from the store’s cash register. The woman turned over an undisclosed sum and the man took numerous cartons of cigarettes before fleeing. The clerk was not injured.

State Police described the suspect as a white male between 5 feet and 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing between 140 and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a teal shirt, black pants, black boots and a mask covering his face.
