GREEN VALLEY, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in central Illinois say a body found by railroad workers on the Mackinaw River is a Pekin man who disappeared while tubing on the river.

The Peoria Journal Star reports (https://bit.ly/1GEeRrS) the body of 48-year-old Anthony Maile was found Friday afternoon.

The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Department says railroad workers who were clearing a logjam found the body.

Maile was floating on a swift current Tuesday afternoon in a group of about six others. Authorities say his tube was found empty after the group encountered a logjam on the river.

This is the second death on the Mackinaw River in the last two weeks. Twenty-four-year-old kayaker Abel Martinez was found dead in Woodford County.
