ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Fire officials say a fire has destroyed two Chugiak mobile homes and displaced 14 people.

The Alaska Dispatch News reports (https://bit.ly/1QvKVTF ) that Anchorage Fire Department official John See says no one was injured in the Friday blaze, but a pet dog died.

He says the fire apparently started from an unattended hot oil cooker.

Crews from the Anchorage Fire Department and the Chugiak Volunteer Fire Department began fighting the blaze around 10 a.m. and continued until the afternoon.

Chugiak department assistant chief Matt Lauer says eleven people were displaced from the trailer that originally caught fire, including several children.

See says the Red Cross is helping the families.
