BROWNSVILLE, Minn. (AP) - Three people in a pickup were in the wrong place at the wrong time on a highway in southeastern Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a tree fell from a bluff and onto the windshield and roof of the Silverado pickup, killing the driver Saturday morning.

KTTC-TV (https://bit.ly/1ec3tak ) reports the patrol says a 50-year-old man from West Salem, Wisconsin, was killed. Two passengers in the pickup, the man’s 51-year-old wife and his 16-year-old daughter, were hurt and were taken to a hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin, with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident happened when the pickup came around a curve on Highway 26 south of Brownsville around 8:45 a.m. and the tree crashed through it from above.
