CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Authorities say they are still investigating the cause of death of a 9-month-old Natrona County girl.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1C4BNJK ) that sheriff’s deputies found the child unconscious in her home in February. She died three days later at the children’s hospital in Denver.

According to court documents, a man told authorities he put the girl in her crib before taking a shower and said she wasn’t breathing when he check on her about 10 minutes later.

He started giving her CPR and asked another man in the home to take over while he called 911.

Natrona County coroner Connie Jacobson says it’s not that uncommon to have an undetermined cause of death for babies and children.

Aaron Shatto of the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office couldn’t say then the investigation will be complete.
