HONOLULU (AP) - The food court at Ala Moana Center has been evacuated because of smoke, but no fire was found.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports (https://bit.ly/1QUB3xJ ) that the Honolulu Fire Department responded to an alarm around 2:40 p.m. Friday and found light smoke. The mall’s sprinkler system activated, but firefighters did not find a fire.

Fire Department spokesman Capt. David Jenkins says the fire might have occurred in the ventilation system.

The ground-level food court and areas on the second and third floors above it were evacuated.
