FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - The U.S. Army says a 23-year-old soldier died during a training exercise at Fort Wainwright.

The Fairbanks News-Miner reports (https://bit.ly/1GC413T ) that the soldier was killed by a single-vehicle rollover accident on Wednesday.

The Army says Spc. Tyrice Weaver died from injuries caused when his 5-ton tactical vehicle rolled while conducting a platoon convoy at the Yukon Training Area.

Weaver was a cannon crew member from Fayetteville, North Carolina, who joined the Army in 2013.

The accident injured two other soldiers, who were airlifted to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and released Thursday. A fourth soldier had minor injuries and was treated on site.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
